When Chirnside Council sought to decrease energy usage, emissions, and costs at Chirnside Park Shopping Centre, LEDsafe stepped in with a comprehensive solution. After thoroughly reviewing the centre's blueprints and existing lighting setup—including T5 fluorescent battens, Tungsten Halogen downlights, High Pressure Sodium, and Metal Halide lamps—LEDsafe engineered an LED lighting overhaul. This modernization initiative now yields annual savings of $71,965 for the centre, highlighting LEDsafe's role in promoting sustainable, cost-effective lighting solutions in community spaces.

LEDsafe's role in this transformative journey involved addressing concerns about energy usage, emissions, and overall costs. Through a meticulous examination of the plans and an in-depth investigation of the center, LEDsafe crafted a tailored lighting solution. The implementation of energy-efficient LED lighting not only resulted in substantial cost savings but also played a crucial role in elevating the ambiance of Highpoint Shopping Centre.

The outcomes achieved speak volumes about the success of this collaboration. With annual energy savings of $13,267 and combined maintenance and energy savings of $216,260, the project demonstrated its economic viability. Looking ahead, the 10-year projections show impressive savings of $1,312,670 in energy costs and $2,162,600 when considering maintenance savings.

Through strategic procurement analysis and a commitment to environmentally conscious practices, LEDsafe maximized government incentive schemes, ensuring the project's success in terms of both efficiency and sustainability. The Highpoint Shopping Centre case study exemplifies how a holistic approach to sustainability, from aesthetic upgrades to energy-efficient lighting solutions, can redefine the future of retail spaces.
